Being detached from any spiritual condition for nearly thirty years, it was a turning point in my life that one Sunday evening when I just happened to see Joseph Campbell in the PBS program 'The Power of Myth' with Bill Moyers. After the program ended I remember saying to myself, "that fits, that is what I am about". Now, after 18 years of studying Jungian psyche and the works of my spiritual teacher Joseph Campbell, I know without any doubt that it does indeed fit. The myths, through Campbell's brilliant articulation, were speaking to my unconscious mind, informing the other person within. I had found new direction, a new self, and a spiritual ground that had been missing throughout my adult life. But more importantly I had discovered my creative self, and from that inherent aspect of the psyche Myths-Dreams-Symbols was born.

I have always had an interest in psychology but it wasn't until the age of 42 that I took up the mantle that was to become my 'bliss'. After examining my own life through Jung's Individuation Process I became aware of the inner resources that are available to anyone who seeks to utilize that special knowledge {gnosis}. From that examination I discovered my creative Self and I have been living from that aspect ever since. Joseph Campbell and Carl Jung are messengers of that gnosis and I see myself as a conduit to their knowledge. I seek to be another source of that message, although less educated in the world of academia but utilizing my personal experiences and internal 'intuitive' awareness to convey the message.

To those who visit my web site I seek to communicate what I have learned from the wisdom of Campbell, Jung, and others who understand the message of myth and dream. If I have special insights it is the understanding of the underlying message of what Campbell and Jung have to say, and a firm belief that there is a nameless source that is the energy that formed the cosmos. Words cannot describe that source, as Campbell said, 'it is beyond thought'. But the relationship of the individual soul is captured in the moment when the symbols of dream and myth begin to inform the senses of what is true within the 'inner world', the world of soul. Words often fail to fully articulate the power of the senses but it can be felt, as my heart feels the love for my grandson, or in the emotional feelings of a beautiful sunset. Reality is not just outward perception. Reality is what is around us, inside us, dwelling in the deepest depths of the psyche. In poetry, it is the word behind the words that inform us. In the world of symbols and metaphor (the language of myth and dream) it is the reference to the word that informs the psyche to its true self. For me it is my relationship to the creative Self, a relationship that is has blossomed with every word, every moment put forth in a web site Myths-Dreams-Symbols
.

About My Abilities of Interpreting Dreams

Although I am not a psychologist and not an 'academic' authority on Jungian psychology, I do believe I possess this natural connection to the reasoning behind Jung's philosophies and theories. Some would call me an 'intuitive Jungian'. I could state my cause in so many words in this space but the best evidence of my abilities are in the posted dreams and my interpretations. There is an abundant amount of proof in the 3000+ interpretations at the MDS Dream Forum to confirm these abilities, with the follow-up posts and comments not only verifying my claims but also providing insights to the dream world that I feel as an important part of the MDS website. With a natural intuitive ability {18 years of study and 12 years of practical experience} of understanding the symbolic language that dreams use I have developed over time this connection to the dream world, using my intuitive insights, years of practical experience as well as my 'sensory feelings' to read a dream. I believe I have an ability to interpret most dreams, or provide insights so the dreamer understands the associations to the drem symbols. This is from using Jung's approach and although my claim to such abilities may seem overly ambitious to some, I again direct anyone interested to the MDS Dream Forum to verify my claims. There is no better proof than what has been recorded in the many dreams, the interpretations, and most important the follow-up posts and comments that confirm the interpretations. I believe there is enough evidence to verify my abilities as well as provide insights to the dream world that can be a valuable resource to understanding of the dream.
